In 2023 we were proud to support an innovative Harlem-based non-profit organization called Harlem

Grown whose mission is to inspire youth to lead healthy and ambitious lives through mentorship and

hands-on education in urban farming, sustainability, and nutrition.

Our funding went to support the Summer Solstice Event and enhanced summer programming at one of the farms in Harlem.  The activities were aimed at elementary-aged school children and included an outdoor mobile library, yoga classes, hydroponics workshops, and a number of other outdoor family-focused fun.  The farms are renovated and reinvigorated abandoned lots in Harlem which have been transformed into thriving urban gardens with soil-based farms, hydroponics greenhouses, livestock, and school gardens.

We look forward to continuing to support local initiatives that improve the lives of children and families living in Harlem.
