ACTIVITY

In 2023 we were proud to sponsor Harlem Grown, an innovative Harlem-based non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire youth to lead healthy lives through mentorship and hands-on education in urban farming, sustainability, and nutrition.

We sponsored activities including a Summer Solstice Event and the Enhanced Summer Saturday Programming at a local urban farm in Harlem.  These urban farms support the renovation and reinvigoration of abandoned lots of Harlem, turning them into thriving urban farms with agriculture facilities, livestock, hydroponic greenhouses, and, school gardens.

The programming we supported was aimed at elementary-aged children and included a mobile library in the garden with books on food justice and sustainability, yoga classes, hydroponic workshops and other fun family-based activities.

We are proud to sponsor such an innovative organization and we will continue to look for ways improve the lives of children and families in Harlem.
